About shio solutions

We are a software company with a special focus on cloud-native open source multimedia systems. Founded in Münster in October 2023, we rely on the latest cloud and streaming standards. At the same time, we can draw on many years of previous experience operating solutions for universities. We are therefore very familiar with the special requirements of higher education institutions.

With tales.media, we offer a Software as a Service (SaaS) multimedia platform that is particularly aimed at higher education institutions. The central component is Opencast, an open source software solution for video management and lecture recordings. We see ourselves as part of the Opencast community and actively participate in official communication channels, mailing lists, meetings and conferences. Adaptions developed in the context of tales.media we give back to the Opencast project. We also support the community as Opencast release managers and maintainers of the Opencast container images.

At the same time, we research multimedia systems and develop new software solutions under the name nagare media. This also serves as the basis for extensions to the tales.media platform.
